Dragon/Kelpie

Would you rather be ruler of the sky, or the sea? With this Dragon and Kelpie pattern in one, you don't have to choose! The Kelpie version of this pattern is without wings, and is the perfect stitch for lovers of Irish and Scottish folklore. With so many options, this pattern surely doesn't drag-on!

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

This design uses 8 DMC colors and requires no backstitching. It contains variegated thread from the DMC Coloris collection.

Fabric used in the image: 32ct Belfast linen by Zweigart, 'Platinum'.

The Dragon pattern is 134 stitches wide x 151 stitches high. On count 14 fabric, the Dragon design is 9-1/2 inches wide x 10-3/4 inches high, or 24.3cm wide x 27.4 cm high. The Kelpie pattern is smaller at 79 stitches wide x 125 stitches high. On count 14 fabric, the Kelpie design is 5-3/4 inches wide x 9 inches high, or 14.3cm wide x 22.7cm high.

To calculate this pattern's size with any other count than 14, use an online cross stitch calculator. The patterns also contain measurements for 16 and 18 count Aida.
